"One like the Son of God vs One like a son of the gods"
Many of our Bible translations have been tweaked to fit the co-eternal, co-equal Trinity God, which is the invention of the Roman Catholic Church. One such tweak is found in Daniel 3:25.
Daniel 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. ~ KJV
Do you really think the pagan king, Nebuchadnezzar, knew anything about the Son of God or even what He looked like? The verse was tweaked to promote the Trinity God. Listen to how other translations word the same verse.
Daniel 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the aspect of the fourth is like a son of the gods. ~ ASV
Daniel 3:25 He replied, “Look! I see four men, unbound, walking around inside the fire, and they aren’t hurt! And the fourth one looks like one of the gods.” ~ CEB
Daniel 3:25 “Look!” he told them, “I see four men walking untied and unharmed in the middle of the fire, and the appearance of the fourth resembles a divine being.” ~ ISV
Daniel 3:25 The king said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire. They are not tied up and they are not burned. The fourth man looks like an angel.” ~ ERV, GNT
The translations ERV and the GNT are more accurate when they use the word, "angel" because the rest of Scripture confirms it.
Daniel 3:28 Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God!
The Angel that YAH sent was the Angel of the Lord i.e. the Angel of His presence.
Isaiah 63:9 In all their distress he too was distressed, and the Angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.
The Angel of YAH’s presence is the Angel of the LORD, who’s name is “Michael”. The name, “Michael” means “Who is like God”.
Michael, as the Archangel, is the chief messenger of YAH because He is the chief spokesman for YAH. When He speaks, it’s YAH’s words the people hear. Notice in the blue, when they obey the voice of His Angel, it's the words of YAH they are hearing.
Exodus 23:20-22 “Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him. But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.
Michael continues to be the conduit for the words of YAH, even in His humanity.
John 12:49-50 I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it. And I know his commands lead to eternal life; so I say whatever the Father tells me to say.”
John 3:34 For He is sent by God. He speaks God’s words, for God gives him the Spirit without limit.
The Angel of the LORD i.e. the Angel of YAH’s presence is Michael, the protector of YAH’s people. He is the same person who raises the dead with the sound of His voice.
Daniel 12:1-2 At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the Archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
John 3:25 Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.
Why does Messiah, the Anointed One, have the power to raise the dead with His voice? Because just has as His Father has the power to give life, the Father has also given His Son the same power, and ability, to give life.
John 5:25-27 Truly I tell you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. For just as the Father has life in himself, so also he has granted to the Son to have life in himself. And he has granted him the right to pass judgment, because he is the Son of Man.
