Is your favorite flavor the one that says, “Christ is God” or is it the one that says, “God is blessed forever”? Either way, they are all true, if you understand how YAH uses words.
First of all, God is blessed forever, and Messiah is blessed forever so both statements are true.
Another true statement is that Christ is God and YAH is God so however you word the verse, it’s true either way.
Now, the big question, “Is Messiah YAH?”.
No, He is not. YAH and Yahshua are two different beings, one is the Father, and one is the Son.
How can the Father and the Son both hold the title, “God”?
They can both hold the title “God” because the term “God” is only a title given to someone who has authority. Even Satan holds the title “God” because he is the god of this world, because he is the ruler of this world. A ruler is one who has authority.
2 Corinthians 4:4 The eyes of those who do not believe are made blind by Satan who is the god of this world.
John 12:31 The time for judging this world has come, when Satan, the ruler of this world, will be cast out.
According to Scripture, Satan is the god and ruler of this world, but when Messiah returns, as King of kings and Lord of lords, Satan will be cast out, and a new Sheriff will be in town, seated on His throne. When the Son comes in His glory, and is seated on His throne, it means He is now the ruler, King and God of this world.
Matthew 25:31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.”
This is why the God and Father of Yahshua makes this declaration about His Son.
Hebrews 1:8 But God said this about his Son: “Your throne, O God, will last forever and ever. You will rule your kingdom with justice.
The one true God, whose name is YAH, holds the title, “Almighty God” while His Son holds the title, “Mighty God”. The Son holds the title, “Mighty God” because His Father, the only true and Almighty God gave His Son all authority in heaven, and on earth.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”
The fact that the Almighty God gave the Son all authority tells us that the Father still has authority over the Son.
1 Corinthians 15:25-27 For Christ must reign until he humbles all his enemies beneath his feet. And the last enemy to be destroyed is death. For the Scriptures say, “God has put all things under his authority.” Of course, when it says “all things are under his authority,” that does not include God himself, who gave Christ his authority.
The Father gave His Son all authority, which means the Son holds the title, “God”, even though the Father is still has authority over the Son.
1 Corinthians 11:3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
So, don’t let the title “God” fool you into believing that Yahshua is part of some co-eternal, co-equal Trinity God, which is pagan at its core.
If you believe the Son is eternally equal in authority, knowledge and power as the Father, then you can’t believe the Father gave the Son His authority, power and knowledge regarding the Father’s will.
If you say the Son has all knowledge, as the Father, then you are calling the Son a liar when He says He doesn’t.
Mark 13:32 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
When you say the Son created us, you are calling the Son a liar when He says the Father created us.
Matthew 19:4 “Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.”
Mark 10:6 Jesus said, “But ‘God made them male and female’ from the beginning of creation.”
One last point to make, regarding the Father and Son relationship. The fact that there is a Father and a Son tells us one came first, which refutes a co-eternal relationship. This means the same God and Father of Yahshua is also our God and Father, since there is only one God and Father of us all.
John 20:17 Jesus said to her, “Do not touch Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.”
Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us?
According to Yahshua's very own words, Malachi 2:10 is not talking about Him.
Matthew 19:4 “Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.”
There is only one true God, the Father. But even so, the Father delegates His authority to others, which authorizes them to also hold the title, God, as long as they remain faithful in using their God given authority in the way that YAH tells them. If they don’t, they become as Satan, and will be cast out in the end. Yahshua did not use His God given authority to push His own agenda.
Philippians 2:6-7 Who, being in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
This is why YAH tells us in the first commandments, "Do not have any other Gods before Me". This means if the Almighty God anoints someone with authority and commands us to obey them, He still holds His title, "Almighty God" because He is the one who is commanding us to obey the one He gave authority to.
Acts 3:22-23 For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’
The man, Yahshua, is not the only man who was given the title, “God”. There were others who were also given the title, “God” because they, just like Messiah, spoke for God.
John 10:33-36 They replied, “We’re stoning you not for any good work, but for blasphemy! You, a mere man, claim to be God.” Jesus replied, “It is written in your own Scriptures that God said to certain leaders of the people, ‘I say, you are gods!’ And you know that the Scriptures cannot be altered. So, if those people who received God’s message were called ‘gods,’ why do you call it blasphemy when I say, ‘I am the Son of God’? After all, the Father set me apart and sent me into the world.
So now, let’s look at these verses again.
Romans 9:5 The ancestors are theirs, and from them, by physical descent, came the Christ, who is God over all, praised forever. Amen. - Christian Standard Bible
To the above verse I say, Amen!
Romans 9:5 The early preachers came from this family. Christ Himself was born of flesh from this family and He is over all things. May God be honored and thanked forever. Let it be so. - New Life Version
Likewise, to the above verse I also say, Amen!
Amen…
