We know God’s name is not “God” nor is it “Almighty”, and neither is it “LORD”.
Exodus 6:3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name Lord I was not known to them.
The title “LORD” has replaced the true personal name of God over 6000 times, which has led His people to forget His personal name. For example, the above verse. The verse seems to not make sense because they removed God’s personal name, and added the title “LORD”. It shouldn’t be, “They knew Me as God Almighty, but they by my name LORD I was not known.” LORD is not His name either, LORD is a title. When you look at a translation that restores God’s personal name you find this.
Exodus 6:3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name, Yahweh, I was not known to them.
Yahweh is the personal name of the Almighty God, and Yahweh is identified as the “I AM”, which declares Him to be the One who is forever presence i.e. the Eternal One.
Now, here is what we need to understand about making YAH’s name known, and manifesting YAH’s name.
We make His name known by teaching others what the name of the one true and eternal God is, and when we manifest His name, we declare what He is like by manifesting His character by how we live, and portray Him to the world around us. This is what Yeshua did.
John 17:25–26 O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.
YAH’s name is Holy, which means it’s set apart or different. He calls us to be set apart or different, like He is set apart.
1 Peter 1:14-16 So, you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”
To manifest YAH’s name, is to manifest His righteous and loving character to the world around us, this is what Yeshua did.
Hebrews 1:3 The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God.
2 Corinthians 4:4 They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
Yeshua was so faithful in manifesting the Father’s character to the world around Him that He could say, “If you’ve seen Me, you’ve seen the Father.”
John 14:9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
We are also called to manifest the Father’s name by following Yeshau’s example.
John 17:11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.
John 17:26 And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.
YAH is love so when Yeshua manifested the Father’s name, He was loving others like the Father loved Him, this caused the love of the Father to be in them, which is to have Yeshua in them, because Yeshua is the exact image of the Father’s love.
1 John 4:7-9 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
If we declare YAH’s true name, and yet, we don’t manifest His name, we are using His name in vain.
Exodus 20:7 You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
Yeshua manifested the Father’s name perfectly so it’s important that we imitate Yeshua if we’re going to declare the name of YAH as being the Eternal One to be worshiped.
1 Peter 2:21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
1 Corinthians 11:1 Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.
If we manifest the Father’s love, just like Yeshua did, we too can say, “If you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father.” Why can we say that? Because by imitating Christ, we are one with the Father, just as He was one with the Father.
John 17:20-23 I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
Like the old saying goes, “Like father, like son.”
We can be child of YAH, just like Yeshua is a Son, by following the Spirit’s lead.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
YAH character is both love and righteous, so if we are to be a child of YAH, we too must manifest both His character traits of righteousness and love, just like Yeshua did.
1 John 3:10 So, now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God.
Amen…
