Being blameless is not about being perfect. We are perfect in Christ, because Christ was perfect, but we want to practice being perfect, just as Christ was perfect.
1 John 3:7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
We practice righteousness, because we are righteous. We are righteous because we have been born of Christ.
1 John 2:29 If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.
When we practice something, it means we are trying to get better at it. When someone is practicing something, it means they are not perfect, but they are working at it.
YAH will hold us accountable to what we know, and are able to know. For example, the Sabbath is on the seventh day, not the first day. This we know. If we, after deep study and searching the Scriptures for truth, and are being sincere to obey what we are able to know, even if it's not completely accurate in natural realm, we stand blameless before YAH. It's sorta like trying to pronounce the true name of the Almighty. If you have 5 believers, who study deeply, you'll have 5 different ways to pronounce, YAHWEH and His Son, Yahshua.
We do this through searching for truth, and working at obeying the truth we can know. By doing this, we are striving to stay holy by keeping our conscience clear before YAH and man. To strive is to work.
Strive: make great efforts to achieve or obtain something.
Acts 24:14-16 I admit that I worship the God of our ancestors as a follower of the Way, which they call a cult. I believe everything that is in accordance with the Torah and that is written in the Prophets, and I have the same hope in God as these men themselves have, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. So, I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.
Hebrews 12:14 Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.
Today’s church is not failing to be holy by the truth they don’t know, they are failing to be holy by the lies they do know are not true, and continue doing it, even after knowing. In this, they will not be blameless.
Hebrews 10:26-29 Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies. For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted the Spirit of grace?
For example, Sunday being the Lord’s Day. Most people know the seventh day is the Sabbath the Day, the Day YAH blessed, and declared holy, for the gathering of His people for worship.
Leviticus 23:3 You have six days in which to do your work, but remember that the seventh day is the Sabbath. On that day do not work, but gather for worship. The Sabbath belongs to the Lord, no matter where you live.
There are many things today’s churches are doing, knowing full well they are not true, such as the Son being born on December 25th, they know reindeers don’t fly, they know a fat man doesn’t come down the chimney. They know Easter Sunday is pagan, and rabbits don’t lay eggs, yet they teach their children these things are true. They know Good Friday to Easter Sunday is not three days and three nights. The know the soul is not immortal, yet they say that it is. These are just a few of many things that the church needs to repent from in order to be obedient to 1 Peter 1:14-16, and remain blameless.
1 Peter 1:14-16 So, you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”
Deuteronomy 18:13 You shall be blameless before the Lord your God.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Being blameless means, we did our best to be faithful to what we knew was right, and true.
James 4:17 If you know what is right to do but you do not do it, you sin.
We do what is right in the eyes of YAH, because we have a hope of living in the afterlife, as everyone else has, so we maintain our holiness by striving to keep our conscience clear before God, and man.
Acts 24:15-16 I have the same hope in God as these men themselves have, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. Because of this, I always strive to maintain a clear conscience before God and man.
Do your best to learn what is true, and follow it. In this, YAH will find us blameless.
Job 8:20 Behold, God will not cast away the blameless, nor will He uphold the evildoers.
Practical perfection is the goal that will be reached after the resurrection. Until then, we strive to be blameless.
Amen…
